The price of fuel are increasing day by day with this increase in price people want  to switch to electric car but thanks to weak charging infrastructure that they can’t thus they are left with hybrids  and Honda comes with Honda city e:hev that gives mileage of 26.5 kpl. it is available in 5 different colors which are golden brown metallic, platinum white pearl, lunar silver metallic, meteoroid grey metallic, radiant red metallic

When we see the car at what glance it simply looks like car city obviously but bit different the Honda city e:hev is based on city car top trim which is zx. It comes with sportier treatment and a claw like design for the fog lamp. The wheels are finished in dual tone and comes in 16 inches size. If we look at back it comes with black diffuser with carbon look and a spoiler obviously back also comes with sporty design. The Honda logo on both sides front and back comes with little bit of blue tint. There is no badging showing that it’s a hybrid  on sides and front where as it has e:hev badge on back.

In the new Honda city e:hev interiors they are not much different from standard Honda city. The difference they bring is that it Honda city e:hev comes with two tone up holster, it is ivory and black which looks cool .Touchscreen comes with the size of 8 inches followed by ac control panel then comes usb port also it comes with electric parking break. Seats come with lot of leather in ivory which looks premium but the drawback of these seats are they will be difficult to maintain, the new city car also comes with one  button sunroof . but the new car city is missing some of features such as wireless charger, wireless car play, wireless android play. The steering wheel is more or less the same with previous Honda city but  this city car comes with some extra switches for ADAS function. The instrumental cluster comes with tft display. This display is basically provides all information about this ev vehicle such as information for battery, energy flow, range and lot more. the new car city doesn’t come with RPM gauge. There is no change in this city car rear seat but it get vents, which basically transfers the cool air from AC to battery packs and helps to cool. The vent on rear seats are designed in such a way that there is no compromise with comfort of seats at all.

This Honda city e:hev  has 200L less boot capacity as compared to standard Honda city, this is because of huge battery  now the Honda city e:hev gets 306 L capacity  so you can roughly fit 2 large  size suitcase and a  small sized  where as you can but soft bag under its floor.

In this city car you don’t get manual EV control, the Honda city e:hev will it self decide if there is sufficient charge it will use battery if not it will add power of motor or engine it self. The cool thing about this car it if you stop at traffic lights the engine will get shut but the ac keeps working and as you start driving again it will use its battery and u want more speeds then motor kicks in and this Honda city e:hev will be in hybrid mode and if you want more speed then the engine comes in the role. It becomes lot more efficient as when you are on highway and the speed of vehicle crosses 80-100km/h  then the engine runs the wheel directly rather than sending the power to generator and then generator sending the power to wheels.

ADAS FEATURES

Surprisingly this Honda city has made ADAS features work without the help of radar or lidar, the city car just have camera that sends picture back for processing  and then it detects weather it is pedestrian, car , bike or anything else. But unfortunately, you can’t just rely on this system as it is not smooth and not quick and although it can detect very well but still it is not as good as radar-based system. There is lane collision mitigation system  which automatically stop the vehicle when it finds obstacle ahead, E: hev Honda city comes with lane keep assist which means on well-marked road it will help vehicle to stay in between lines. Lane assist camera is positioned on the outside rear view mirror and projects the recording  on to the infotainment screen. Another feature is that e:hev city car comes with headlight beam auto adjust it switches to low beam if it detects oncoming traffic or car driving in front of you and automatically switches back to high beam when required.
